Steps

  1. Open AlifBay Scan To Pdf and pick ID card.
  2. Place the PAN card on a contrasting surface, fill the frame and tap the button when the outline turns green.
  3. Need the back too? Tap Scan the back. Both sides go on one page.
  4. Save the PDF, share it, or print it. Choose Actual size / 100% when printing.

PAN card size

A PAN card is 85.6 × 54 mm, the standard ID-1 size used by bank cards and Aadhaar PVC cards. The app knows this size, so the printed copy matches the real card, the way a photocopy would.

Why not just take a photo?

A normal photo, printed, fills the whole page or comes out at a random size, often slanted and with shadows. This app straightens the card, cleans up the edges and places it at real size, centred on the page.

What is the size of a PAN card?

A PAN card is 85.6 × 54 mm (ID-1 size).

Can I put the PAN card and Aadhaar card on the same page?

Yes. Scan one card, then tap "+ Scan" and scan the other. Small scans are combined on one A4 page when "Combine on one page" is on.

Is this the same as e-PAN?

No. e-PAN is issued by the Income Tax Department. This tool simply makes a clean copy of the card you already have.
