AlifBay Scan To Pdf · Effective 5 November 2026

In short: your photos and PDFs are processed on your own phone. We do not upload, store or see them. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.

Who we are

AlifBay Scan To Pdf ("the app") is made by AlifBay KhairHub. It is available at scantopdf.alifbay.in and as an Android app on Google Play. Contact: support@alifbay.in.

Camera and photos

The app asks for camera access only to take the scan. You can also pick a photo from your gallery instead. Photos are processed in your browser or app on the phone (finding the page, straightening it, and making the PDF). They are never sent to our servers or anyone else.

What is stored on your phone

Your last scanning mode (A4 sheet or ID card), and whether you have seen the help screen.
If you use Google Drive: the ID of the "AlifBay Scans" folder, so new scans go into the same folder.

Scans are kept in memory only while the app is open, and are gone when you close it or tap "Start over". PDFs you save go to your phone's downloads, where only you control them.

Google Drive (optional)

If you tap Drive, you may be asked to sign in with Google and allow the app to add files to your Drive. The app asks for the narrowest permission Google offers (drive.file): it can only see and manage files and folders it created itself, never anything else in your Drive. The PDF is sent straight from your phone to Google. It does not pass through our servers. The sign-in token is kept in memory for the session only. You can remove the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

The app's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

On some phones, Drive and Share open your phone's share menu instead. Whatever you choose there (Drive, WhatsApp, email…) is handled by that app under its own privacy policy.

What we collect

Nothing about you or your documents. The app has no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers. Like any website, our web server may keep standard technical logs (IP address, time, page requested) for a short time to keep the service secure and working. These are not used to identify or profile you.

Children

The app is a general utility and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
